Her journey began in 1976 when she established a bread and cookies manufacturing plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand, marking the start of her entrepreneurial career. This endeavor laid the foundation for a diverse and impactful portfolio of businesses contributing to local economies and promoting international cultural and business exchange.

In 1983, she founded Sharma Enterprises, a coal-related manufacturing company, demonstrating her versatility and ability to pivot into different industries. Building on the success of Sharma Enterprises, Asha Sharma expanded further by launching Prashant Enterprises in 1994 , Priya & Reliance Enterprises  all in 1995 at Mirzapur, both focusing on coal manufacturing and related services. Her ventures have driven economic development in the region and created numerous employment opportunities, reflecting her core belief that the privileged are responsible for creating jobs and uplifting the underprivileged. This philosophy has been a guiding principle throughout her career, as she remains committed to empowering communities and fostering economic growth.

After taking a break to focus on her family, Asha Sharma raised three children and later became a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, embracing these roles with extreme passion and love. Her ability to balance her professional and personal life reflects her remarkable emotional intelligence (EQ), making her an inspiring figure in her business endeavors and her family. Her nurturing nature and unwavering support have built a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that continues to enrich the lives of those around her.

In 2003, she returned to the business world with renewed vigor, launching a saree and property business. This move demonstrated her entrepreneurial adaptability and her deep connection to Indian culture. Her saree business promotes traditional Indian craftsmanship, while her real estate ventures showcase her strategic expertise in property development.

Her two-year stay deeply influenced Asha Sharma’s entrepreneurial spirit in Japan, where she recognized the potential for a solid Indo-Japanese relationship. She believes in the natural synergy between the two cultures and envisions fostering greater economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties—not only for the benefit of India and Japan but also for Asia and the world at large. Her businesses are commercial ventures and vehicles to promote this larger vision of cross-cultural cooperation and global harmony.
